Lesson Booking Terms and Conditions for PASSFAN Driving Lessons

Lesson Arrangements The instructor agrees to provide driving tuition to the pupil at the previously agreed rate. Lessons will start and end at the pupil’s chosen pickup address unless we arrange otherwise. The instructor and the pupil will agree on the timing, location, and duration of each lesson.

Instructor Substitution If the instructor becomes unavailable for any reason, PASSFAN may provide another qualified instructor for your lessons. Should a substitute instructor not be available, or in the event of a mechanical breakdown or other unforeseen circumstances, we will reschedule the lesson at a time that suits both parties. Please note, PASSFAN cannot accept liability for lesson cancellations due to mechanical failures.

Pricing and Payments PASSFAN reserves the right to adjust lesson prices and special offers, providing at least 7 days’ notice. Pupils must pay lesson fees in advance. We require payment for the first lesson via bank transfer before booking, and pupils must pay for subsequent lessons at the time of booking. Before the first lesson, pupils must show a valid driving or provisional licence. Pupils should inform us of any physical or neurological conditions that could affect their ability to learn or drive. Pupils must also be able to read a standard number plate from 20.5 metres. We ask that pupils turn off or silence mobile phones during lessons to avoid distractions.

Lesson Conduct If a pupil attempts to take a lesson under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or if mobile phone use interferes with the lesson, the instructor will cancel the lesson, and we will charge the full lesson fee. Pupils must behave respectfully and arrive on time for lessons. If a pupil is late, the instructor may not be able to extend the lesson time. If the instructor is late, they will extend the lesson or add the time to future lessons. PASSFAN instructors are not responsible for delays caused by traffic.

Cancellations and Changes Pupils must provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or change a lesson time. Without 48 hours’ notice, the pupil will be liable for the lesson fee. If the instructor cannot accommodate a change within the same week, the lesson fee will still apply. The pupil confirms they are licensed to drive the tuition vehicle.

Liability The contract exists between the instructor and the pupil. PASSFAN acts as an agent for the instructor and is not liable for any issues arising from the instructor-pupil contract. The instructor may withdraw their vehicle for the driving test if the pupil does not meet the required standard.

Block Bookings and Gift Vouchers Block bookings and gift vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you decide not to continue, we cannot offer a refund. Lessons from block bookings should occur at least once every 14 days. PASSFAN is not responsible for any prepayments made directly to instructors. Failure to pay for lessons will result in a £65 administration fee and potential legal action.

Covid-19 Policy Pupils must adhere to government guidelines regarding Covid-19. If you cancel a lesson with less than 48 hours’ notice due to Covid-19 symptoms or self-isolation, you must provide proof of a test result or self-isolation notice. Without this proof, we will charge for the lesson.
